The art museum would like to congratulate Doris de Pont curator of the Whangarei Art Museum's current Summer exhibition HOME SEWN for her New Year's Honour.
Doris de Pont NZ designer was awarded Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for Services to Fashion.
She first established her own label in the heady days of the early 1980's and later established the DNA label in 1994.
In 2010 she established the New Zealand Museum of Fashion.
