Since their first encounter, Olia Lialina, one of the most well-known figures in the net.art scene of the 1990s, and Cory Arcangel have been engaged in exploring the relationship between humans and the internet. Their technical and cultural understanding of the web, which has evolved from a military communication technology to the 'information superhighway' and the increasingly asymmetrical 'content delivery system' it represents today, has produced two complex bodies of work in continuous dialogue with each other.

'Asymmetrical Response' traces the collaboration of both artists and includes installation shots, critical text contributions, and documentation of correspondence and performance.
