Ines Weizman, Helmut Völter ⬤ Dust & Data: Traces of the Bauhaus across 100 Years

⬤ $115.00
The publication gathers case studies from around the world that deal with the history of the Bauhaus: the multiple historiographies of the Bauhaus and the global architectural history of modernity in which the Bauhaus is located.
The aim of this book is to read Bauhaus objects, documents, and buildings as molecular units of politics and history. In connection with these objects, the publication also aims to trace their complex paths of circulation and migration, and their forms of connection, which otherwise remain invisible to architectural history.
The history of the Bauhaus is indeed a history of migration: its architects, artists, documents, objects, and, of course, its ideas, which are scattered around the world, lead to disputes and sometimes to legal disputes regarding authenticity, physical and intellectual property, and copyright, which are also addressed in the book.
